Justin's Birthday

Justin's birthday was November 7th and he wanted to go out for sushi. Tim and I had never had sushi so we were a little nervous. He suggested a restaurant in downtown Detroit called Oslo. Tim and I were both pleasantly surprised. We actually liked it!
Aftewards we went to the Palladium Theater in Birmingham and watched Stranger Than Fiction

This is a shot looking down the hall way to the bedroom. The bathroom is on the left.

Mom and Dad are going to look for a cart for their microwave. It will go in the corner behind the table. The plan is for this table to be moved out to the Florida room and a smaller table will go in the dining area.

OK... here is the kitchen. We painted the cupboards a sunny yellow. The walls are a wallboard that had an outdated print, so we painted that white. We really wanted to do more with that part, but we were trying to keep the costs down. It also needs new rugs. Hopefully mom was able to get some. My dad was to pull out the stove and refrigerator and put some tile down and my mom was going to finish painting back there. Notice we took the trim off the bottom of the cupboards. It looks much better! Also Dad put a new light fixture above the sink and on the ceiling.

This is my favorite part. This area is so bright and pretty. There are shades on the windows now instead of sheers and it just looks so sunny and clean. We kept the doors off the top cabinets. A clock is supposed to go in the middle, but we couldn't find one that we liked that would fit there. Hopefully mom or June can find one.
Aunt June's Trailer Before

This is the view looking out the front window. Notice the windows had sheers over them with brown curtains that were pulled closed at night. To the right of where Mom is sitting is a patio door that also had the brown curtains.
This picture shows part of the kitchen and the door leading to the Florida room. Notice how dark the walls are. This picture with Dad shows the whole kitchen. Notice how dark it is and the trim underneath the cupboards.
